Having read all the 22 page manual for this meter which very cleverly calculates how much power is left in your domestic batteries and displays it as a percentage, it is a very useful device and much more accurate than an amp-hour meter. It can also control other devices, switching them on or off at preset battery levels. I’m fitting one to my own boat, so will tell you more about how it performs later, but I reckon they are excellent value at £149.99

Lightweight Retrieval Magnet

We have just taken delivery of some very light, very small, but VERY powerful magnets which are ideal for retrieving lost windlasses, mooring pins and so on. We are advised not to put these too close to electrical products as they may affect them! They are certainly much more handy than the old fashioned ‘Sea-Searcher’ and at £20.99 they are cheaper too.

Mooring Pin Lights

If you want to avoid tripping over your mooring pins at night, or want a good way to find your boat along the towpath at night, then you need our Mooring Pin Lights. These stainless steel lights include a solar panel which charges the internal battery during the day and gives you several hours of light at night, even in the winter. They clip to your mooring pins or can be pushed into the ground using their own spike (included). They switch on at dusk, but can be switched off until you need them.

12 volt DAB Radio

For quality radio on board your boat you really need digital radio, otherwise known as DAB radio. Now we can offer you digital radio with the ability to connect it to your 12 volt supply or a 240 volt supply or (if you really want to) put batteries inside it. These units are available from stock for just £74.95 and you won’t find many DAB radios at that price. If you want one posted that will cost an extra £3.95

Want a very quiet engine?

Now available from us are ‘Hospital’ silencers. As you might guess from the name these silencers are of the sort used originally to quieten diesel generators near hospitals. They are rather large, but if you have the space to fit them they quieten your exhaust dramatically. We have a sample on show in the shop, but can get you one made up in a choice of configurations for £145 at a few days notice. Contact us for more information.

Wenol polish

Following several requests we now have stocks of’ Wenol metal polish. This is a German product, but apparently works much better than Brasso.
